RULES
A title has exactly one holder and exactly one public price. Anyone can take it by paying more than that price. Rank is the money — nothing else.
Claiming
An unclaimed title costs its tier price. Paying claims it instantly: the title, its certificate and its outbound link become yours, and your name goes on the record.
You can also mint a brand new title from any phrase in Create. New titles are Common or Official — the scarce tiers are curated drops, not something you can mint for yourself.
Takeovers — beat the price by a dollar
Every held title shows a standing price. To take it you must pay at least $1 more than that price. There is no maximum: bid a dollar over and hope nobody notices, or bid ten times over and make a point.
A title standing at $500
Minimum bid: $501. Maximum bid: whatever you can live with.
Your bid becomes the new price. The next person has to beat it.
It settles the moment the payment clears. No auction, no countdown — the first payment through wins, and if two land in the same instant only one can be fulfilled and the other charge is voided before it settles.
The outgoing holder is not paid. They keep the Former Holder record, the notification email, and the right to take it back at the new, higher price.
Defending
If you hold a title you can defend it: pay more than your own standing price, and that becomes the new price. Nothing changes hands — you simply make yourself more expensive to remove, and earn a DEFENDED ×N mark on your certificate.
Defending is verified against the email you claimed with.
Rarity and scarcity
Every title, in every tier, has exactly one holder at a time. Scarcity is not about copies — it is about how many titles of that tier exist at all. There are 50 Rare titles in the whole registry, 20 Legendary, and each One-of-One is a single throne with no equivalent. Common and Official are unlimited: anyone can mint one.
| Tier | Price | How many exist | How you get one |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | $5 | Unlimited | Create it or claim it |
| Official | $10 | Unlimited | Create it or claim it |
| Rare | $25 | 50 | Curated drop — claim or take over |
| Legendary | $100 | 100 | Curated drop — claim or take over |
| One-of-One | $500+ | 50 | Curated drop — claim or take over |
A title never changes tier. A Common title taken over forty times is still Common — it is just expensive and near the top of the board. Curated tiers are released by the Ministry in drops and are never minted on demand, which is why an unclaimed Legendary is worth watching: once someone takes it, the only way in is paying them out of it.
Ranking
All-time ranks every title by the total money that has ever moved through it — claims, takeovers and defenses combined. It only goes up.
Today ranks by money settled in the last 24 hours, on a rolling window. A payment counts for a day and then drops off, so today’s board turns over constantly while the all-time board is a permanent record.
Your rank is printed on your certificate and re-renders every time it changes.
Certificates and verification
Every held title has a certificate: downloadable at 1200×1500 and 1080×1920, used as the link preview everywhere you share it, and backed by a public verification record at /api/verify/TITL-######.
Holders can embed a live badge on their own site. It always shows the current holder — including the day it stops being you.
What is not allowed
Slurs, harassment, sexual content, trademarks, and impersonation of real people are blocked at creation and re-checked at payment. Borderline phrases go to a review queue.
Titles are collectible status items, not investments. All sales are final and there are no refunds — see the terms.
